Terri Thompson

Executive Vice President, Search Management and Strategy

Terri Thompson brings a consultative style and results-driven approach that nets successful placements and has earned her the respect and appreciation of both clients and candidates. Her practice areas focus on disciplines that drive and protect revenue in her clients’ businesses.

Terri has a proven placement track record in marketing, distribution, media sales, business affairs, finance, general management, business development and sales. With more than 25 years’ experience from  corporate roles at Cox Communications and executive search at Carlsen, she brings a combination of business acumen and recruiting expertise to serving her clients.

Additionally, Terri  is committed to the development of women’s business skills and leadership abilities and is pleased to be an annual speaker at BMLI,  Women in Cable and Telecommunications’ (WICT) development program. She has served as national president of WICT and Chair of its foundation. Her accomplishments have been recognized by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as one of the city’s Top 10 Business Women, and by the Atlanta Chapter of WICT as Woman of the Year. Intensely interested in children’s issues and her local community, she held a number of leadership roles with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and served as co-chair of its fundraising, volunteer and special projects arm, the Friends Organization, as well as on its Community Board.

Terri is a double graduate of Emory University, where she earned both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Her time off the clock is occupied by oil painting, gardening and leading a small women’s group for her church.
