Diane Schneiderjohn

Strategic Advisor

Diane Schneiderjohn is a Strategic Advisor and Executive Coach with Carlsen Resources, Inc. (CRI), advising on digital and international searches, executive coaching, diversity initiatives, and venture capital interim placements.

An international recruiter for CRI from 2000-2002, Diane rejoined the team in 2017, bringing with her more than 25 years of experience in launching and building television, entertainment and retail businesses in Asia and the U.S. for leading multi-media companies and start-ups.  Her exceptional market perspective draws from her unique mix of expertise in strategic planning, distribution strategy and sales; video content review and development; and consumer marketing and operations.

Previously, Diane was CEO of start-up GemsTV, a position which allowed her to combine her content and marketing background with a love of shopping.  With just six months’ ramp-up time, she led the launch of a revolutionary home shopping network.  The cable channel and e-commerce site generated $157 million in first-year sales.

Living in Hong Kong for five years as Turner Broadcasting’s Senior Vice President of Distribution Sales contributed greatly to Diane’s global perspective.  During her time with Turner, she opened new markets and countries for CNN, TNT and Cartoon Network.  Her work included initiating and building country-specific distribution strategies; negotiating charter licensing agreements with television broadcast and satellite operators as well as hotels and airlines; opening and developing sales offices in Korea, China, India, Singapore and Taiwan, and recruiting talent to build and grow them.

Diane’s work experience also includes 13 years as head of marketing, programming and sales for both VIACOM Cable and Charter Communications.

Diane has served as a national member of the Electronic Retailing Association’s Live Home Shopping Council and Government Affairs committee.  She served on the Boards of Directors of the Cable Television and Marketing Association (CTAM), Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT), Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA), and National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC).

Diane holds a B.S. degree from the University of California Berkeley, Walter Haas School of Business.  She is a foodie, and loves music and traveling.
