Terri Thompson rejoined Carlsen Resources in 2006 with 20 years of corporate and executive search experience. As senior vice president of executive search for CRI, she places leaders in disciplines that drive business success including marketing, distribution, business affairs, finance, general management, business development, and sales. Terri’s consultative style and constructive approach, specifically in the digital media and marketing fields, are key factors in her many successful placements, and have earned her the respect and appreciation of both clients and candidates.

Throughout her successful career, Terri has been passionate about the development of women’s business skills and leadership abilities. This interest led her to a deep commitment to Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT), where she served as national president and head of the WICT Foundation. Terri’s leadership expertise has been recognized by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, which named her one of the city’s Top 10 Business Women, and by the Atlanta Chapter of WICT, which named her Woman of the Year. Terri’s 16 years with Cox Communications, Inc. encompassed multiple disciplines, giving her unique perspective and insight into CRI clients’ organizations. As vice president of marketing for the industry-leading cable company, Terri managed corporate teams dedicated to sales, advertising, marketing, new product development, customer service and direct broadcast satellite lines of business. Prior to that, she held key positions in product planning, strategic field marketing and management. Early in her Cox career, Terri was a member of the cable franchising team that secured agreements with local governments. She brings this broad business experience and her personal executive management skills to each client interaction.

her local community. She has held a number of leadership roles with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and served as co-chair of its fundraising, volunteer and special projects arm, the Friends organization. She has also served on its Community Board.
Terri is a double graduate of Emory University, which awarded her both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in business administration. She lives in Atlanta with her daughter.
